Welcome to our qualification updates for April 2026. We’re pleased to bring you the latest updates on qualifications this month. This edition covers a range of changes, including amendments to qualification structures, extensions following review, and document updates.

Updates:

Type of change: Amendment to Qualification Structure

• Two units have been added to Optional Unit Group A: AMEDK3/011 (R/615/6492) and AMEDK3/016 (R/615/6497).
• The optional sustainability unit has been withdrawn from the rule of combination in this qualification; however, Centres may still deliver this unit as a standalone additional unit if required.
• Updated qualification materials are available to Centres registered for this qualification via EAL Connect.

• This qualification has been extended due to high demand and positive feedback. The Qualification Manual has been updated to comply with regulatory requirements.

Qualification Name: EAL SVQ Fabrication and Welding Engineering at SCQF Level 6 (Qualification Code: GT26 46)

• Unit SCFWE309 has been updated to expand the scope of Performance Criteria 9, enabling more learners to generate evidence for this unit. The Amendment Document has also been updated accordingly.

Qualification Name: All Qualifications Scotland Accreditation Qualifications

• All Qualification Manuals for Scotland have been updated with revised wording to align with current regulatory responsibilities under Qualifications Scotland Accreditation. No content changes have been made beyond terminology updates.
