EAL delivers end-point assessment (EPA) services across a broad range of engineering and manufacturing standards. Our goal is to make sure learners can access the skills and training they need to begin a career in the sector.
End-point assessment is an impartial, independent assessment conducted at the conclusion of an apprenticeship. As the end-point assessment organisation (EPAO), EAL assesses whether the apprentice is competent and, upon successful completion, claims the apprenticeship certificate.
EAL is regulated by Ofqual to ensure we uphold the highest standards of end-point assessment. We are also part of the Enginuity Group, a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to closing the skills gaps in the UK’s engineering and manufacturing sector.
Our commitment to delivering end-point assessment services is rooted in trust, quality, expert knowledge, and steadfast support because we understand what matters to you and your apprentices.
We deliver end-point assessment (EPA) specifically for Engineering and Manufacturing, and Rail apprenticeships. In addition, our wider qualifications portfolio supports learners in developing cross-sector skills such as project management, business development, and more.
We deliver end-point assessments for a growing portfolio of apprenticeship standards to support the needs of engineering and manufacturing employers. In the EPA space, we work closely with employers and training providers who choose EAL to independently assess their apprentices.
Over the past decade, more than 1.3 million learners have enrolled on an EAL qualification — a separate part of our work that continues to support the wider skills agenda in the UK.
All assessment plans are developed and owned by Skills England. Select a field to get started.
