The EAL Level 4 Diploma in Project Management (Competence) has been designed as an ‘in service’ qualification for those learners already carrying out a project management role and who wish to gain a qualification to evidence their competence. It consists of eight units, all of which must be achieved for it to be awarded.
These are: Developing personal and professional practice through project delivery, Project initiation, Project planning and scheduling, Project monitoring and reporting, Contract and quality management, Managing teams and stakeholders, Managing budgets and risk and Understanding your organisation and its approaches to project management.

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. Learners must have been initially assessed to ensure they have both the potential and opportunity to achieve the assessment criteria set out in the qualification units and gain evidence from the workplace.
The qualification is gained when all eight units have been achieved, these are assessed by oral questioning, and practical demonstration / assignment. A portfolio of evidence will be created by the learner to enable assessment of their competence to be undertaken.
The qualification is graded Pass or Fail and is suitable for learners over 18 years of age.
