EAL Level 4 Certificate in Identification, Examination and Testing of Lifts for the use by Firefighters and/or for Evacuation

Lifts with various operations in the event of a fire are important for the safety of building occupants and fire and rescue service personnel. Over at least the last 50 years, different operations and protection measures have been described in various British Standards. Hence lift industry personnel might encounter a number of different operations in legacy lift equipment. This qualification is intended to prepare and provide a recognised qualification for lift industry personnel carrying out the identification, examination and testing of lifts for the use by firefighters and/or for evacuation.
