EAL Level 3 Award In Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)

This Vocationally Related Qualification (VRQ) sits on the Qualification and Credit Framework (RQF) and has been designed in line with industry requirements. The qualification focuses on the knowledge and, where appropriate, the practical skills associated with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC). 

This arrangement ensures that when the learner completes the qualification they will have gained knowledge and where applicable practical experience associated with the hardware and software concepts of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), the application in the control of manufacturing and other processes and how PLC’s may be programmed. It covers specific knowledge and understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and has been developed in consultation with industry specialists. This qualification does not require occupational evidence.

Learners must be at least 16 years old to undertake this qualification.
