Calling all employers in the construction sector – if you’ve placed or are planning to place a T Level student at your business in this financial year, you’re eligible for financial support from the government, but you don’t have long to claim it.
Financial support from the employer support fund (ESF) is available for employers of all sizes in delivering T Level industry placements in construction and other areas. For the 2025 to 2026 financial year, the government has pledged almost £2 million to the ESF to encourage employers to get involved and deliver T Level placements.
Individual allocations have been confirmed, and there’s also been a deadline announced for employers to opt in. A recent update said that providers can still opt into the fund, but they only have until 5pm on Monday 7th July to confirm their interest.
Employers can use their ESF allocations to help students hit the ground running when their placements begin, by meeting essential costs such as insurance, equipment, and administrative processes. It can also be used to train students by paying for places on specialised courses and certifications.
We think the ESF represents an irresistible opportunity for employers to develop young talent and give their people and productivity a boost. T Levels are giving learners the skills needed to join the workforce and make a difference within their chosen trades.
