National Apprenticeship Week is a chance to celebrate the opportunities apprenticeships provide and the people supporting them. At EAL, we are proud to play a role in helping learners and employers succeed by providing qualifications, end-point assessments and resources that give apprentices the confidence to progress in their chosen careers in engineering, manufacturing and building services engineering.
EAL’s qualifications are designed to ensure learners have the right skills, recognised to the right standards, at the right time. Over the past 20 years, we’ve awarded more than 2 million certificates, helping people develop, enter and advance in their careers across engineering, manufacturing and related sectors.
Our qualifications focus on practical, real-world skills, giving learners the tools they need to succeed while meeting the needs of employers and the sector. By combining hands-on learning with clear assessment standards, apprentices gain confidence and competence that sets them up for long-term success.
A key part of an apprenticeship is the end-point assessment (EPA), which measures what learners can do at the end of their programme. As an approved EPA organisation, EAL works closely with employers to deliver assessments that are fair, consistent and reliable. By ensuring apprentices are tested against national standards, we help employers have confidence in their workforce and give learners a recognised qualification they can build their career on.
EAL doesn’t just support learners – we work alongside employers to design and review apprenticeships and standards. Through trailblazer groups and advisory panels, we help shape qualifications that reflect real needs in the sector. This collaboration ensures that apprentices are learning the skills that matter most to their future employers.
EAL also promotes vocational learning beyond National Apprenticeship Week through Vocational Celebration Day. Vocational Celebration Day is a new national day created by Enginuity and EAL to spotlight the value of vocational learning.
We’re currently laying the foundations for the first official Vocational Celebration Day on 6 August 2026, a national moment to recognise and uplift vocational learners, colleges, training providers, and employers across the UK. Between now and 2026, we’ll be building momentum, amplifying stories, sharing resources, and celebrating the learners who power our industries.
Every certificate awarded, every assessment delivered, and every apprenticeship standard developed reflects EAL’s commitment to helping learners succeed. By supporting apprentices, we help employers build a skilled workforce and give the sector the talent it needs to thrive.
National Apprenticeship Week is a reminder that apprenticeships change lives. At EAL, we are proud to be part of that journey, supporting learners and employers every step of the way and celebrating the difference apprentices make across the sector.
