Extended funding approval end dates for engineering and BSE qualifications in England

On December 12, 2024, the government outlined its vision for the future of post-16 qualifications, ensuring learners have a wide range of choices. This announcement follows a rapid review of vocational qualifications previously slated for defunding by the former administration. 

The Department for Education (DfE) has now confirmed the extension of funding approval end dates for EAL’s engineering and BSE qualifications that were due to be defunded in line with the educational reforms. The new dates and the relevant funding offer are given in the following tables:
