Read nowWe are pleased to announce the imminent launch of a new electrotechnical short award: EAL Level 3 Award in the Design, Installation and Maintenance of Emergency Lighting Systems (610/6121/9). This short award has 7 guided learning hours and was developed with Zzeus, and the British Fire Consortium (BFC).
It provides learners with an understanding of the application of BS 5266-1 and the design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of emergency lighting systems conforming to the requirements of BS 5266, BS EN 1838 and BS EN 50172.
It is for personnel involved in the electrotechnical sector, such as electricians, designers, and inspectors, who wish to update their knowledge of emergency lighting system design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance, and facilities maintenance staff. It is assessed by an EAL-set and centre-marked controlled knowledge assessment, and graded pass (or fail) only.
